The letter

Dear manager of the restaurant:

      I went to your restaurant yesterday. When I was eating the soup, I found there was a diamond ring in my soup. I had no idea who is the owner of the ring. What I understood is that the diamond isn’t mine, so I can’t take over it. As a result, I called for waiters to cope with this problem. However, he thought that I put the diamond ring in the soup purposely. He thought I wanted to obtain some merits from the restaurant all along. From then on, I was so angry that I wrote this letter for you.

      I hope you can teach the waiters how to deal with these problems. This time I don’t want to fuss about it because I want to give you a chance to improve the level of your restaurant. I will send this ring back to the restaurant. I hope I can feel better when I entering your restaurant. By the way, the waiter is named chris, I saw his name tag on his uniform.

    Once upon a time, Frankenstein’s ancestors were all savage barbarians. They had a strong desire to occupy Norway and then carried out a massacre. As a result, the people in Norway still hated those monsters after a century.  

 

 The story began at 13^th. Frankenstein, who was an offspring of those barbarians, was totally different from them. The only thing they had in common was his considerably ugly appearance. His kind heart seemed to be a benediction from God. Kind-hearted Frankenstein met a gorgeous Iceland princess, Jasmine. Their romance wasn’t instantaneous. It took a long time for Jasmine to be touched by Frankenstein’s kind heart and then married him. They gave birth to Joe, who was a handsome youngster with an inhumanly beautiful face, not as ugly as his father.

 

 The small but warm family lived in Norway because Frankenstein ‘s father left him a villa there. Although they treated other people kindly and gave others big hands with great zeal at all times, over two-thirds of Norwegian still hated them on account of the reasons as follows: fist of all, the scene of the massacre was too ghastly to be a slip of the memory of most Norwegian. They considered that the kindness, which Frankenstein and his son, Joe, displayed, was only a disguise for their same savage blood relationship as their ancestors. Moreover, people had discrimination against Frankenstein’ s ill-favoured countenance; they regarded him as a monster. Beyond doubt, Frankenstein knew the society’s outlooks on him and his family. Optimistic and confident, he believed that his sincere kindness would melt the hatred of the outrageous and prejudiced Norwegian.            

 

 It was in the dead of the night. Joe went to the forest to hunt a prey. When the moment he was taking aim at a gigantic brown bear, he heard a terrifying screaming. Joe followed the voice and discovered that a fierce wolf was on the verge of attacking a slender, beautiful lady with blond hair. He then sneaked to the backside of the wolf and shot an arrow from his bow. The wolf died in a jiffy. Joe took the lady and the body of the wolf away from the forest.

 

 “My name is Anastasia, the princess of Norway. I am obliged to you for saving my life.” The girl said, with a blush came to her rosy cheeks. “ It is my pleasure, my dear princess. I’m Joe. I was wondering what you were doing in the forest. ” Joe asked heartily. “ I was so depressed that I sneaked out from the palace and took a walk in the forest. Frankly speaking, I’ve turned down so many princes’ proposals. Thus, I made my dad furious. I don’t want to marry a guy whom I am not fond of. Because I always believe that my Mr. Right is in somewhere waiting for me.” Anastasia replied with another blush came to her seraphic face. “I believe that, too.” Joe made a breath taking smile toward the lovely princess.“ But promise me that you won’t take a walk in the forest alone, especially at the dark night, ok? It’s really dangerous. Evil monsters and beats are all obsessed with adorable princesses.” A blast of brisk breeze blew through the leaves and made a sound as if they were performing an appealing melody. Sparkling stars twinkled upon the dark night. The scenery was a catalyzer that sped up the attraction between Joe and Anastasia. They smiled in silence and kept stared at the dazzling eyes of each other. The moment is as romantic as poetry. After saying goodnight and returning to where they separately belong, both of them couldn’t help but kept recalling the wondrous night.

 

 Since the unforgettable moment, Joe and Anastasia had met each other secretly only at nights for fear that their relationship would be discovered and be prohibited. “Anastasia, my love. You are a sweet and brave princess.” Joe grinned his crooked smiled at his lover, stopping her breath and her heart as usual. “Why am I brave?” Anastasia asked with a velvet voice. “Because you fell in love with a monster that most people tried to avoid. I am the son of Frankenstein. Don’t forget that. ” “So what? I am not extremely insane to have a crush on a monster. People are biased and blind, rumors are nonsense. All I know is that the guy I love is a flawless gentleman and his parents are all nice “people”.” Subsequently, Joe gave her a passionate, deep kiss and touched her silk-liked hair tenderly. Anastasia felt the hands that were lighter than a moth’s wing. For the time being, the spotlessly white moon witnessed the permanent romance of a monster and a mortal.

 Richard Leroy, a solemn king of Norway, was invariably refrained from talking. If fairy godmother was going to fulfill his wishes, this was the first one Richard would say, “ I wish my precious daughter, Anastasia, could marry an extraordinary prince and live happily ever after.” Consequently, it would not be surprising that he became indignant and hysterical knowing the relationship between Frankenstein’ s son and his daughter.

 It was snowing outside, and the strong north wind blew agitatedly. The fire in marble fireplace raged. “Go kill that monster’s son immediately. ” the king shouted with great anger at the hunters and assassins assigned by him.

 In the villa was Joe only. Frankenstein and Jasmine went to visit an orphanage. Joe was gazing at the overcast sky; the color of it was eerie and unpleasant, furthermore, the weird weather gave him some creeps. But nothing could remove the happiness of the pregnancy of Anastasia.

  All of a sudden, some rocks were thrown to the villa. Joe then came out and found out what happened. What he didn’t know was that it was a snare to catch him.     The hunters and assassins led Joe out of the villa successfully and brought him to a forest. They bound him to a stake with a strong rope and abused him. One of them then came up with an evil thought. They took turns to rape him, again and again. Satisfied with the cruel torture, they slashed at Joe and took out his heart and ate it.

  After receiving the tragedy, Frankenstein carried the bloody body of his beloved son from the forest. Grieved and helpless, Frankenstein decided to use his organs and energy to bring Joe’s life back, that is, sacrificed himself. Jasmine tried to stop him at first because she didn’t want to lose such considerate husband, having everlasting shoulders that could be leaned reliably, but she didn’t make it. Frankenstein said with his tears rolling down, “My love to you will last forever and ever even I die. Our son deserves to possess a great future. Not this kind of treatments. ”

   The operation was finished. Joe opened his eyes and leaned weakly against the bed. With the support of Jasmine and Anastasia, he became better and better. Three of them buried Frankenstein with a sorrow and respectful heart. They moved to Denmark to be distant from the heart-broken country in the long run.

Eventually, Some Norwegian spat out curses at the Frankenstein’s grave, others held a champagne dinner to celebrate the doom of the monster, still others burst into tears owning to the tragedy and the complete sacrifice, sheer love that a father contributed to a son. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The story

     This morning Ted went jogging alone. However, he saw a man carrying a television with many toils. So Ted decided to give him a hand. After a few minutes, all things were finally carried on to the man’s truck. Then, the man drove his car on his way as soon as possible. Nevertheless, when Ted used his handkerchief to wipe down his face, he saw some people walking toward to him, including a police officer.

     Ted not knowing anything, the policetook Ted to the police station and asked him some questions. The police told Ted that the man who drove away his truck was a thief. And they saw Ted helping him to carry things on his truck. They thought that Ted was a companion of the man. But Ted told the policeman that he really had no idea about it. He just ran into the thief and helped the man by accident.

     Later, the policeman decided to let Ted go. This event finally came through. And this event became an unforgettable memory for Ted.

Advice for freshmen

Hello! Freshmen! My name is Joe. As a senior, I can foresee various challenges in front of you. You’ll face various difficulties in your school life. And you have to show your confidence, perseverance and bravery to come over these hurdles. To help you better cope with the problems, I would like to tell you my experiences in my high school life. There are two things that I want to tell you.

        First, you can’t give up when you get into trouble. In the first year, I didn’t get good grades on the exams. The knowledge I learned from teachers was different from the things I learned in the junior high school. Every subject was difficult to me at that time. However, I never gave up and tried to do my best. When you determine to improve yourself, the whole world will unite together and help you. In the second year, I could find pleasure from learning and studying. I followed my schedule and went on step by step. Because I know I was not smarter than other students in the school, so I had to study hard than others. I knew I couldn’t give up from that time on. Now, I am not afraid of facing problems because I know I have to go on. I think this is the first idea you should keep in mind.

         Second, you can’t keep grumbling all the time. There is a lot of homework everyday in my high school life. And some reports are even annoying and boring. But actually, I do my homework happily every day. I realize that everything I do is good to me. I know how to organize my thoughts and opinions and express my ideas in different ways. I learn much knowledge from every report. For example, I can know how to find the information I need quickly. And I can understand much knowledge and things from the reports and homework. We can obtain diverse ideas from it. To sum up, if you adopt a positive attitude toward the reports and homework, you’ll find lots of treasure and fun in doing them.

         In conclusion, each freshman should know that the perseverance is very important. According to the above-mentioned statements, I think these are the advices I want to tell you.

Everyone has different personality traits. Some of us can be doctors because they have great knowledge and professional ethics. Some of us can be teachers because they are patient and passionate. Different roles need different traits. And everybody has different talents in different things. According to the statement, to become a leader also need some specific traits. There are three traits I think a leader should have.

    First, I think perseverance is important. People who have this power can stir people’s blood and cheer them up. For example, Gandhi played a apart in the non-violent revolution to fight against the Englishmen. He kept a hunger strike for a long time. And he believed that the Indians would overcome the adversity by themselves one day. Another one is Deng Xiaoping. He fought against the Great Cultural Revolution. Although he was persecuted by the Gang of four and Mao Zedong, he still kept on and never gave up.

    Second, I think a leader should be good at writing. Because they may use their words to persuade their people. What’s more leaders can use the words to persuade people to believe in him or her. For example, Harding, one of the most popular American presidents, was a renowned news reporter before. He transformed his thoughts into words and published in the newspaper. Soon, he not only became a powerful person in the Republican Party but also a well-known person in the world. He delivered many speeches and pieces of writing to people in America. Another one is Churchill. He was also a news reporter in London before he became the prime minister. He used his words to encourage people during wars. It not only cheered the people but also boosted his reputation in people’s minds.

    Third, some people are brave enough to strive for fights to improve the social condition to be more peaceful and wonderful. I think the spirit should be deeply rooted in leaders’ minds. For example, Anna Howard Shaw was a leader in the women’s liberation movement. She and other people in this group not only strived for the voting right of women but also helped the labors. Martin Luther King strived for the civil rights for a long time and always tried to solve the problem of racial segregation. Because of it, he won the Nobel peace prize finally. His spirit will haunt in people’s mind forever.

    According to the above-mentioned statements, I think the three traits are important and necessary to the leaders.

 

In some countries, teenagers have jobs while they are still students. Do you think this is a good idea? Support your opinion by using reasons and details.

     I think it is a good idea for teenagers have jobs while they are still students. There are two reasons to support my idea.

     First, students can be independent by having jobs. For example, students can understand different skills in different occupations. That is, we can make money for our lives without parent’s help. What is more, teenagers can know how to cope with relationships between colleagues and friends. When we face difficulities, we should ask for some help and solve the problem together. Because of it, teenagers may become more mature to settle these problems. The more things we experience, the more methods and skills that we can use dealing with troubles in the future. Therefore, students my become bore independent and mature than before.

     Second, students may  improve their family relationships from having jobs. For instance, they will realize that parents are so toilsome for the sake of giving children a good life. Making money is not an easy issue for teenagers, saying nothing of their parents. For this reason, students may have less arguments with their parents. They work so hard to give us better lives, so we shoulden’t blame at anything in our lives. Hence, we should take care of them and sympathize with our parents.

     Due to these two reasons, I think it is a good idea for teenagers having jobs while they are still students. What do you think?

Some people like to travel with a companion. Other people prefer to travel alone. Which do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your choice.

      When I travel to different places, I would like to travel by myself. There are two reasons to support my idea.

      First, when I travel alone, I will be more free than travel with a companion. For example, I can choose which place I really have interest in. I can decide what time to go and be back. By the way, I can even arrange my schedule according to my own preference. Because of it, I may travel to beautiful and spectacular places leisurely. As a result, I can take my time and visit various spots where I want to see. I think traveling should have great pleasure, so I prefer to travel alone and make a decision by myself.

      Second, I think quiet and peaceful are very important when I travel around places. For example, when we travel to different places, we can listen to what we say from our hearts and try to find peculiar things from these places. Believe it or not, you’ll find what you have never found before when you stay in a peaceful state of mind. On the other hand, we can take the opportunity to rethink our lives and future. Watching beautiful views and gaining special ideas from this, I think it will be a joyful thing in our lives.

     Due to these two reasons, I prefer to travel alone than travel with a companion. How about you?
